BioFaze™ is designed to implement Sugden Development's CO2
Enhanced Flushing process to remove biofilm and harmful biological
build-up from water distribution system "hot spots." BioFaze™ helps
ensure that the water that reaches the consumer
is the same quality as when it left the plant. BioFaze™ can work in conjunction with your current maintenance and flushing procedures to provide a powerful, but safe, boost to those areas where flushing alone is insufficient to maintain an adequate disinfectant residual. BioFaze™ works on a targeted (up to one mile) section of your distribution system through a unique and patented process of injecting carbon dioxide into a highly controlled flush over a period of several hours. The combined effect of the acidic and effervescent flush removes an astounding 99.9% of biofilm buildup, as documented by the EPA and field studies.
The BioFaze™ Series is designed to provide a range of capabilities over a broad spectrum of water distribution system maintenance and rehabilitation applications to both municipal utilities and service providers. All systems use a patented and highly efficient Pressurized Solution Feed (PSF) system designed to utilize 95% of the CO2 injected into the water in "real time," not through a recarbonation process. The 3003 and 9003 models further enhance treatment utilizing a patented CO2 scouring process, and the 9003 model extends its capability with a chlorine booster system for even further automated disinfection. All models are customizable for different pipe sizes and applications. (Pressurized System Feed (PSF) is a registered trademark and patent of TOMCO2 Equipment Company) BioFaze™ 1003 • Three inch PSF for flow rates from 80 gpm to 160 gpm • Treats 3 inch to 10 inch distribution lines • CO2 flow rates up to 40lb per hour • Schedule 80 PVC water piping; Stainless steel CO2 piping and valves • Stainless steel mounting plate and frame • Approximate dimensions: 18" deep x 4' wide x 5'high x 300 lbs.
