S Development, the industry pioneer in biofilm removal technology, announces its BioFaze™ series of equipment designed to implement its CO2 Enhanced Flushing process to remove biofilm and harmful biological build-up from water distribution system “hot spots.” Sugden Development’s products and services are aimed at the municipal water utility – specifically water distribution systems – for maintenance and rehabilitation of existing systems.

BioFaze™ is a powerful but safe system designed for use by utility personnel and service providers to effectively remove virtually all microbial buildup from "hot spot" areas of a distribution system. BioFaze™ helps ensure that an adequate residual disinfectant is maintained, and addresses the difficult balance of compliance with Stage 2 of the Disinfection Byproducts Rule by attacking the problem at the source.

About CO2 Enhanced Flushing …
Carbon Dioxide Enhanced Flushing was invented by Sugden Development as a highly potent, non-toxic flush, implemented by our BioFaze™ equipment, which injects CO2 into a distribution line with significant microbial buildup. Through its unique saturation method, the CO2 forms carbonic acid, which lowers the pH to a very tightly controlled level, and combined with the naturally effervescent nature of the CO2 injected water, removes 99.9% of the biofilm buildup, as documented by the EPA and in field studies. CO2 Enhanced Flushing with BioFaze™ is performed in specific areas prone to biofilms.
